We are delighted to share the inspiring story of Mr. B. Shankar Behra, a resident of Jarakata Sahi, Bali noila, Puri, Odisha, whose life has been positively impacted by the compassionate efforts of the Santi Memorial Trust.

Mr. Behra was burdened by a debilitating low backache accompanied by tingling and numbness, causing him excruciating pain. The severity of his condition left him unable to perform even the simplest daily tasks, leading to feelings of mental weakness and depression. Despite consulting multiple doctors, the high cost of treatment became a barrier to accessing the care he desperately needed.

Recognizing the urgency of Mr. Behra's situation, the Santi Memorial Trust intervened, admitting him to Medica Hospital in Kolkata. Under the empathic care of Dr. Sunandan Basu, Mr. Behra's critical condition was closely monitored. On 6th June 2023, a crucial operation was performed, providing him with much-needed relief.

The Santi Memorial Trust proudly covered a significant portion of the total expenditure for Mr. Behra's treatment, amounting to Rs.200,149. Out of this amount, the trust generously contributed Rs.166,000, alleviating the financial burden on Mr. Behra and his family.

We are pleased to inform you that Santi Memorial Trust is registered under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. This registration ensures that donors are eligible for deductions under Section 80G, allowing them to contribute to our noble cause while also benefiting from tax deductions.
